JORDAN SROCHI
Meet Jordan
I’m a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist based in New York City. I describe myself as a relational therapist, which means I believe that the foundation of meaningful therapy is the relationship we build together. I prioritize getting to know you, not just what brings you in, but how you think, relate, and cope in the world. I take time to understand your personality, your values, and what feels beneficial or challenging for you, so that our work feels personalized and genuinely useful. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I take an individualized approach that honors your pace, your goals, and what feels true to who you are.
Sessions tend to be reflective, holistic, and collaborative. At times we’ll slow things down to make sense of emotions and patterns; at other times, we’ll focus on practical strategies, insight, or skill-building, always guided by what feels most useful to you in the moment. I’m active and engaged in sessions, offering feedback, asking thoughtful questions, and helping connect the dots, while also leaving room for you to lead and set the pace.
My work is informed by a blend of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, attachment-based work, and psychodynamic theory. Rather than following a rigid model, I draw from these perspectives thoughtfully, depending on what best supports you. I especially enjoy working with college students and young adults, a stage of life that can be both exciting and overwhelming, full of growth, change, and uncertainty.
Clients often describe me as warm, encouraging, and genuine. I strive to create a calm, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel safe to be yourself, whether that means talking things through, sitting with difficult emotions, or simply figuring out where to begin. My aim is to help you recognize your existing strengths and coping strategies while supporting you in expanding your tools, deepening self-understanding, and navigating challenges with more clarity and confidence. Above all, my goal is for therapy to feel like your process, helping you feel more whole, grounded, and connected as you move forward, and I’ll meet you wherever you are along the way!

Therapy is not one-size fits all so I do not pull from only one approach for everyone or even the same facets of an approach for the same issue. Everyone needs something different based on where they are in life and who they are, which is why I like working from a holistic approach. I want you to show up exactly as you are whether that may be anxious, stressed, down, unmotivated, lost or anything else - and I will show up with you to provide compassion, understanding and guidance.
I pull from a variety of modalities and approaches such as:
• DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
• CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
• Psychodynamic Therapy
• Attachment Theory
• Somatic Practices
• Mindfulness Therapy
We are on this journey together and I love to give each client a tailored and individualized path!
